Dr. Deepak Dugar is a professionally trained rhinoplasty surgeon who is famous for his Closed Scarless Nose® Rhinoplasty. Daily Mail dives into the relationship between plastic surgery and mental health. In this Daily Mail interview, one of Dr. Dugar’s patient, Sabrina, is interviewed to share how her rhinoplasty positively benefited her mental health. Sabrina explains that before her surgery, she felt as though she has good traits on the inside, but felt as though these traits were not always expressed externally. She felt that her dorsal hump caused people to judge her personality based on her appearance. Sabrina wanted to undergo a natural procedure to bring back her confidence in herself.

Dr. Dugar proceeds to explain in the interview that plastic surgery can definitely help someone’s mental health and confidence if done correctly and conservatively. Dr. Dugar explains that he believes a patient should give themself a decent amount of time after a plastic surgery consultation to think about the procedure and make sure they truly want it.

In his book, Be-YOU-tiful, Dr. Dugar explains the perceptions of beauty and confidence in today’s day age. Dr. Dugar explains that he has seen many of his patients gain an immense amount of confidence after their closed rhinoplasty procedures, which he explains is what he loves to see from his patients. He explains that plastic surgery can often be used to chase a certain image or trend which is never fulfilling for some people in the end. With this being said Dr. Dugar has perfected the Closed Scarless technique for patients to be able to feel like their best self.
